We've taken our fantastic fitting Minimalist legging and printed it with ocean lover prints by our ultimate ocean-loving-scientist-artist friend @SofieSeyah. These are no-nonsense premium suede gym pants, made from ultra stretchy and supportive Repreve® recycled plastic fabric in sizes 6-22. These pants are UPF50 and equally happy worn in the water, and they are quick drying. High waist, phone sized pocket, very little wasted fabric (just the bits the sewing machines cut off + a hair elastic that I'll send with the pants). These pants are awesome for action, totally squat proof with no roll down, but also great for layering in winter time. From the gym to the surf, and everywhere in between.
These Ocean inspired prints have been painted in water colours by the wonderful Sofie: Marine Scientist - Artist - Surfer - Mother - Treasure Hunter. Sofie is a massive ocean lover and has been collaborating with Claire in the Freo store, where we also stock her stunning prints and cards. Together they sought inspiration from Sofie's work and the ocean to produce both abstract and naturalistic prints for ocean lovers.
What's the deal with clothing and waste? In the fashion industry a typical garment will be made with about 15% waste. Based on 2016 figures (there is always a time lag in this data), I calculated this to equate to 1900 laps of the Earth's equator in fabric going to land fill every year. Say what!? So our Minimalist and Land & Sea leggings are cut for no waste! All the fabric goes into the pattern. Does that mean a compromise in fit? Gosh no! These fit like a dream to your body. No constantly adjusting the pants, because I design for real bodies, not some CAD created average that doesn't fit anyone.
Ocean lovers, I make these personally for you right here in my Freo store. This means I can make them just for you! Do you need longer or shorter legs? Higher or lower waist? The pocket on the left, instead of the right? Looser or tighter on the waist band. All of these options are possible. Just drop me a line.
