This reversible style results from a collaboration between Topik and Ms Juju in the Bali studio with Claire in Freo.
Sofie Seyah is a massive ocean lover and has been collaborating with Claire in the Freo store, where we also stock her stunning prints and cards. Together they sought inspiration from Sofie's work and the ocean to produce both abstract and naturalistic prints for ocean lovers.
The fabric is purchased in Indonesia from Mustofa at SAS Textile. It is digitally printed in a Balinese home business by owner/operator Pak Arif. He does an amazing job and is so proud of the results.
The team at Gemi are lead by Ms Juju in her home studio. Cutting and finishing/quality checks are done by Sri and Koko. All sewing is done by Topik, Narmi and Kadek. Whenever I visit these guys the place is full of laughter and chatter. Kids play in the yard after school. All holidays are taken paid, and there is no enforced overtime.
The result is these mightily beautiful garments, sewn with love, made to last.
